    I’ve only held my full driving licence for just over a year. Can I hire a car?
    If you are over 23 and have had no endorsements then yes, you can still hire a car up 1600cc. If you don’t fit these criteria then please still call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    I’m over 70, is there an age limit on being able to hire a car or van?
    We have a general limit applied by our insurers of 75 but if you are over 75 we can still hire to you on completion of an additional insurance proposal and acceptance by our insurer.

    Is the mileage limited or unlimited?
    There is no mileage limit on our rentals. All you pay for is your fuel.

    Can I have a car delivered to my home address?
    Yes, simply select delivery on your reservation and we will contact you to confirm that we can deliver to your address and agree a time. We will also collect the car from you if you require.

    If I need the car for longer than my initial booking period, can I extend the booking and if so how?
    Yes you can, simply call the branch or our central reservations and we will make the arrangements to extend the booking.

    Can I take the car abroad?
    Yes, simply answer yes to taking the car abroad on the quote or booking, the cost is slightly higher but it includes the extra breakdown insurance as well as the vehicle and insurance documentation that you must have to take a vehicle abroad.     We need to hire a car for a long journey, will my partner be able to drive the car in addition to myself?
    We will allow up to four additional drivers on the hire agreement for a small daily charge.

    I have 3 points on my licence, am I still able to hire a car?
    Generally speaking yes, but It does depend on the offence so please check with us before booking the vehicle.

    When I get the car, will I be shown the basic controls?
    Yes, before we hand the keys over one of our operatives will go through all the key features and controls of the vehicle with you.

    Does my own insurance cover the accidental damage excess?
    No, if you have you own vehicle insurance then it will not cover the excess on another policy. You can request that the hire car is added as an additional vehicle on your policy, in other words, insure the vehicle yourself, but this tends to be a costly exercise.     Can I collect and drop the van off at different locations?
    Yes, the vehicle can be dropped off at any of our locations around London although we do ask you to try and let us know in advance.

    Is it possible to request a specific make and model?
    We have a wide range of vehicles and they are rented by class of vehicle rather than by specific make and model, so we cannot guarantee a specific make or model. However if you express your preference at the time of booking we will do our best to supply that vehicle.

    I need a car capable of transporting 6 adults comfortably – do you have a car large enough?
    Yes our 7 seaters are all full size people carriers, in other words they are not the type with two smaller seats in the back that are only suitable for children. When booking a people carrier always consider the luggage you will be carrying as the 7 seaters are generally not suited to large quantities of luggage when all of the seats are occupied. If you are going away on holiday you might find our 9 seaters more appropriate as they have a large amount of luggage space.

    Do I have to be over a certain age to hire a car?
    Yes, our minimum for hiring a car is 21 years of age with a minimum of 24 months experience and a clean licence. Click here for full insurance terms.

    What documentation will I need when I pick the car up?
    We will need to see the driving licence (and Photo ID if the licence is not a photo style licence), of each person who wants to drive the vehicle this includes both parts of the UK licence. We will also need two further forms of ID for the main driver, suitable ID will be computer generated utility or council bills matching the name and address of the driver and dated within the past three months. If you have a non-EU licence or it is not written in English then please check with us before renting as we may need additional items such as international driving permits or translation documents.

    I need a van to move heavy furniture, can you supply a model with a tail-lift?
    Yes, all of our Luton Vans are fitted with tail-lifts for your convenience and, don’t forget, if you are moving home consider our moving pack which contains many of those items that will make the move that little but smoother.

    Does the car hire come with breakdown cover?
    Yes, all our vehicles come with full breakdown cover with details in every vehicle and our own emergency number.

    Do you supply straps and blankets with your vans?
    Yes we supply straps but for health and safety reasons we cannot supply blankets. Have you considered our moving packs?

    Can I request a car with air conditioning?
    All of our cars and most of our Vans are supplied with Air Conditioning.

    Can you advise us if our child seats are suitable for the car we hire?
    We will provide manufacturer and government guidelines on the suitability of individual child restraints and we will answer any specific questions that you have but you will appreciate that our rental operatives are not qualified to give specific advice about individual seats or their suitability for any individual.
