The daylight inn in Petts Wood was named in the honor of William Willett, who was a campaigner for the Daylight Savings Time and lived in the nearby town of Chislehurst for a large part of his life.

The city of Petts Wood also has a pub named The Sovereign of the Seas. The city is connected by a railway station which is located between the towns of Bickley and Orpington. Petts Wood has a splendid park known as the Jubilee Country Park, which serves as a recreational ground for both residents and visitors alike. The park is situated towards the northwest of the shopping area and is also home to various rare and endangered species.
